IndicatorGrid is an educational market-analysis tool. This page explains what is stored when you use it.
1. What we do not collect
- The app collects no names, emails, phone numbers or passwords. There is no login yet.
- We do not save your IP address or browser details to disk or logs.
- We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics.
2. Short-lived technical handling
- To prevent abuse, the server briefly holds your IP address in memory (about one minute) to limit how many requests can be made. It is not saved to disk or logs and is not linked to you.
3. Anonymous usage counts
- A random anonymous visitor id is created in your browser (local storage) so we can count unique visitors, online users and device type (mobile or desktop), plus simple totals of which data source and market are used and whether alerts or Telegram are switched on.
- Daily counts are stored in a database. Before storage the server converts the random visitor id into an irreversible code using a secret, and the original id is not stored. The per-day visitor entries are deleted after 35 days; the daily totals are kept. No IP address, name, e-mail address or Telegram token or chat ID is stored.
- Clearing your browser data removes this id.
4. Data saved on your own device
- Your favorites, last view (source, symbol, timeframe, refresh interval), alert on/off setting and disclaimer acceptance are saved in your browser's local storage.
- If you tick "Remember token and chat ID on this device", your Telegram bot token and chat ID are saved in your browser only. Untick it or clear your browser data to remove them.
5. Telegram alerts
- When an alert or test message is sent, your bot token and chat ID pass through our server to Telegram for that single request. We do not store them, and they are masked in our logs.
- Telegram's own policy applies to messages sent through it. Use your own bot and never share your bot token.
6. Third-party services
- Market data comes from third-party providers (for example Yahoo Finance). Their own terms apply. For Binance, your browser contacts Binance directly.
- Our hosting provider (Render) may keep technical server logs, including IP addresses, under its own policy. We do not control this.
- The Share menu opens WhatsApp, Telegram, LinkedIn, X or Facebook only when you choose one. We do not send anything to them ourselves.
- The Feedback form is run by Google Forms. It pre-fills your selected source, symbol/timeframe and app version. Entering an email address is optional and is used only to reply to you; please do not enter any other personal information. Signing in to Google is not required. Google's own policy applies.
7. Educational use only
- Nothing here is financial advice. See the Disclaimer.
8. Changes and contact
- We may update this policy; the date above will change.
- For questions, use the in-app Feedback form.
